When tech meets art
It is heartening to see art moving beyond the orthodox and predictable ways with a generous use of technology like photography, film and other new modes.
That is precisely what we saw at an art exhibition titled Tech-Cut-Edge Revelation. Works by four artists – Riyas Komu, Baiju Parthan, Chintan Upadhyay and Sunil Gawde – were displayed at the exhibition, showcasing quite a thought provoking and a flexible form of art.
ART OF THE MATTER: Among the arty set of the capital, we spotted Aditya Burman with his wife Shivani.

Not much of a regular at the art dos, Aditya seemed quite impressed by the artwork displayed. “All the works are aesthetically pleasing. I personally admired the installation of magnifying glass that catches your eye in an instant,” he shared. We overheard people appreciating the works of Riyas too which had an interesting mix of reality and geography through photographs. Other guests included Ena Puri, George Martin, Alka Pande, Ravinder Reddy, Payal Jaipuria, Rajiv and Anu Bajaj, Jyoti Dandass, to list a few, enjoying he(arty) conversations over wine and quickies.
HAVING A BALL: Jas Arora was, as usual, at his social best, and was seen cracking jokes and happily mingling with the guests. However, a not so seen couple at Delhi’s arty dos – artist Sunil Padwal from Mumbai with his wife Tanuja – gathered many stares as
they walked into the venue. It was simply the wifey’s redhead that turned many heads and well, compelled us too to click a shot too. Fashion designer Mandira Wirk also made an appearance at the do, but for a short while. She looked impressive in a black number with a golden string running around her waist.
